Thanks for visiting my website!
I recently sent out an e-mail to my clients, offering to help
them find their dream home here in Volusia County (including
Port Orange, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach or
even up to Flagler and Palm Coast.)
The market is hot right now and residential property in this
area is proving to be a good investment choice, giving you one
more reason to move here and enjoy our glorious weather 10
months out of the year! (See the end of this Newsletter for one
more good reason to buy sooner, rather than later!)
Since I live in the Spruce Creek Fly-In myself I thought I would
let you know about some of the activities that one can enjoy in
the local area.
Golf
Florida is a golfers paradise, and you can select from dozens of
beautiful fairways that surround our area and are open to the
public. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has it's
headquarters in Daytona, which brings world-class female golfers
to our championship courses.
Boating & Fishing
Being on the Intra-Coastal Waterway (known locally as the
Halifax River), and with the
Ponce Inlet
right here in Port Orange, boaters and fishermen have every
opportunity to enjoy themselves on the water. Whether it's river
or deep-sea fishing, water-skiing, sailing or just cruising the
waterways with the family, you can enjoy it all here in Volusia
County. For those who prefer a freshwater environment the St
Johns River and various natural Florida Springs are just 20
minutes away.
Beaches and more beaches
Enjoy the beach? Then you'll love our coastline! Surfing,
windsurfing, shelling, swimming and kitesurfing are just some of
the activities that you can experience during a day at the
beach. Selected local beaches are also some of the few in
Florida that allow driving right onto the beach, making it easy
to bring all the toys with you.
Racing and Bike Fans
We host the
Nascar
500 racing for 2 weeks in February (with aprox. 250 000
visitors) and the Pepsi 400 in July. For Bike aficionados we
offer the Bike week in March with aprox. 600 000 visitors (what
a sight all those amazing, polished and beautiful machines
everywhere!). Then there is the Biketoberfest, yes, you guessed
it, in October. We have other car shows like the Speedway
Spectacular in the spring, the Antique car Show and the Turkey
Rod run in the fall.
Cape Canaveral and the
Kennedy Space Center
For aviation or Space enthusiasts you can watch a launch of the
Space Shuttle or other rockets right from the beach or your own
backyard, as the Kennedy Space Center is only about one hour
south from us. The
Canaveral
National Seashore is also just a short 35 minutes away
with it's vast barrier island and adjacent waterways offering
1,045 species of plants and 310 species of birds including
loggerhead, green and leatherback sea turtles, West Indian
Manatee, Southern bald eagle, wood stork, peregrine falcon,
eastern indigo snake, and Florida scrub jay.
St Augustine
History buffs will get their fill from a regular visit to the
oldest town in the USA, quaint and beautiful St. Augustine, only
45 minutes North of us.
Other Activities
Volusia County is an easy drive from Orlando with all it's
shopping malls and attractions including Disneyworld, Epcot
Center, MGM Studios, Universal and Seaworld to mention a few.
Local Schools & Colleges
Our area is blessed with
great schools, Colleges and
Universities, and the Central Florida region offers a host of
high-tech learning opportunities including
Embry Riddle
university right here in Daytona, one of the world's most
prestigious aeronautical universities.
77 Million are heading for retirement - Now is the time to buy!
Here's an astounding fact: During the next 10-15 years the
number of Americans over the age of 50 will increase by 80% -
that's 77 million of us baby boomers who are heading towards
retirement. And Florida is one of the most sought-after
destinations for retirees.
There is no doubt that although
Volusia county has been under priced for many years, it is now
catching up with the rest of coastal Florida at the speed of
lightning. Areas South of Volusia County like Stuart, Vero
Beach, West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale are already being
priced almost on par with California, but our Port
Orange/Daytona Beach/New Smyrna Beach areas are still very
affordable.
I am here to help you find the home you are planning and
dreaming of, so if you're thinking of buying don't wait!
Call me today at (386) 682-9408 and allow me to help in your
efforts to move to our area, or assist in locating a replacement
home here.
Take care for now and all the best,
